We believe in a defund/divest model to ensure that the long term goals of the black lives matter movement are met. By pouring less government funds into police departments and more into the communities that need it and programs with individuals that are trained to respond appropriately to various incidences, we believe we can better improve the conditions that often lead to crime to reduce crime overall and provide safe environments and spaces for black and brown communities.
